While we are also trying to do some serious science, recording the sounds of soil to measure its health, we are also curious. So, sometimes we record stuff just to see what we find. This recording of a mature compost pile, meaning it hasn't had any carrot peelings or apple cores added to it for ages, is still making some interesting sounds. You might hear muffled voices or even birds, but these are from the surface world. Listen carefully for the mysterious sounds of the underground.
